Why Wall Prep Matters Before Painting: A 1991 Home Renovation in The Woodlands

A client came to us to help remodel her mom's newly purchased home. She wanted to stay on budget, so she initially only asked us to paint the walls.

Before we started, we let her know the walls had noticeable texture and unevenness, which isn't unusual for a home built in 1991 with all original surfaces. She decided she didn't want to spend the extra money to smooth the walls first, so we moved ahead with the paint job as requested.
